Judy F. Mcgarvey

Roxana: Judy F. McGarvey, 67, passed away at 7:01am on Thursday, June 22, 2017, at her residence surrounded by her family. She was born on July 25, 1949, in East St. Louis, Illinois, the daughter of the late John and Fern (Waltermate) Sabo. She married Gary McGarvey on July 2, 1966, in East St. Louis, and he survives. Other survivors include two sons: Brian McGarvey and Crista Tucker of Roxana, Kevin McGarvey and his wife: Jamie of Bethalto, three grandchildren: Aiden, Cameron, Kaitlyn, one sister: Nancy Sabo of Granite City, one brother and sister in law: John and Cindy Sabo of Renault, Illinois, and many other extended family and friends. Judy was formerly employed at Obear – Nestor Glass Company in East St. Louis as a packer. She then worked at Intaglio Glass Company in Alton. She was of the Catholic faith. She enjoyed crocheting and being a room mom for her sons and grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister: Debra Sabo. In accordance with her wishes, cremation rites will be accorded. In celebration of her life, memorial visitation will be from 5pm to 8pm on Monday, June 26, 2017, at Pitchford Funeral Home in Wood River. Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society Relay for Life Riverbend and will be accepted at the funeral home.
