Kathryn Bauer

Kathryn Brady Bauer, 44, passed away Monday, August 19, 2013. Kathy was born October 17, 1968 in Dowagiac, MI to Anita Allers and the late Richard Smith. She married Gary Bauer on August 29, 1995 in Las Vegas, Nevada and he preceded her in death on March 9, 2012. She is survived by her mother and step father, Anita and Ron Jensen of Hartford, Michigan, her mother-in-law, Norma Humm of Alton, Illinois, her step children and their spouses, Tim and Beth Bauer of Roxana, Illinois, Eric and Jamie Bauer of Godfrey, Illinois, her grandchildren Kolten, Riley, Peyton and Morgan Bauer, her siblings, Steve Brady of Lawrence, Michigan, Lorre Darnell of Hale, Michigan, Greg Brady of Hartford, Michigan, Jan Ashley of Lawrence, Michigan, and many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly. Kathryn was a driver for Truck Transport in St. Louis, Missouri. She enjoyed camping with her grandchildren, racing, and baking Christmas cookies with her best friend Theresa MacArthur. Her presence will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She lived life everyday to the fullest, enjoyed the company she kept, loved her family and friends and never met a stranger. In addition to her father and her husband, she was preceded in death her beloved grandmother. Memorial visitation will be from 4pm to 7pm on Tuesday, August, 27, 2013, at Pitchford Funeral Home in Wood River. A separate memorial service to be held in Michigan at a later date.
