Kathryn Foehrkalb

Wood River: Kathryn Foehrkalb, 94, passed away at 2:55pm on Thursday, June 18, 2015, at Anderson Hospital in Maryville. She was born on November 3, 1920, in Wood River, the daughter of the late John and Rose Dugan. She married Jim Foehrkalb and he preceded her in death. Survivors include one granddaughter and her husband: Mindy and Kenny Engler of Holiday Shores, three great grandchildren: Kendra Engler, Conner Engler, Kelsey Engler all of Holiday Shores, and a good friend: Judy Jennings of East Alton. She was formerly employed at Defense Mapping in St. Louis for many years prior to her retirement. She was a member of Holy Angels Parish in Wood River. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter: Cathy Tinsley and fourteen brothers and sisters. In accordance with her wishes, cremation rites will be accorded. In celebration of her life, memorial visitation will be from 12pm until time of memorial services at 1pm on Sunday, June 28, 2015, at Pitchford Funeral Home in Wood River. Father James Flach will officiate. Memorials are suggested to Partners for Pets and will be accepted at the funeral home.
