Larry Bloyd

Larry G. Bloyd, 65, passed away at 8:40am on Sunday, August 18, 2024, at LaBella in Alton. He was born on February 20, 1959, in Alton, the son of the late Eugene Bloyd and Peggy (Stout) Jennings. He married the former Tammy Allen on February 14, 1987, in Wood River, and she survives. Other survivors include two sons and a daughter in law: Josh Healey of Hampton, Virginia, Ryan and Rebecca Bloyd of Grovespring, Missouri, eight grandchildren: Jayden Healey, Blake Bloyd, Ryan Bloyd, Jr., Garrett Bloyd, Isaac Bloyd, James Bloyd, Joanna Bloyd, Nolan Bloyd, two sisters: Tija Hunter of East Alton, Andrea Bloyd of Griggsville, Illinois, a brother and sister in law: Lance and Alison Bloyd of Carney, Oklahoma, a step brother: John Jennings of Florida, his father in law: Larry Allen of Bethalto, many nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends.

Larry was employed in the body shop at Mitsubishi in Normal, Illinois for twenty – six and a half years. He then went to work at Caterpillar in Decatur, Illinois prior to his retirement. He was a hard worker and a Christian man.

Cremation rites will be accorded and private family services will be held.
