Linda J. Haynes

Bethalto: Linda J. Haynes, 73, passed away at 7:28pm on Tuesday, March 15, 2016, at her residence. She was born on February 18, 1943, in Blytheville, Arkansas, the daughter of the late Leonard F. and Helen L. (Melvin) Meadows. She married Lloyd Douglas Haynes in 1967 and they later divorced. Survivors include one daughter and son in law: Jolene and Rick Harshbarger of Cottage Hills, two sons and a daughters in law: Justin and Tanya Haynes of Cottage Hills, Mike and Michelle Haynes of Bethalto, seven grandchildren: Brittany Haynes, Brandon Haynes, Dalton Harshbarger, Austin Haynes, Noah Haynes, Ryleigh Haynes, and Caitlyn Haynes. She was formerly employed at the Glass Works on Broadway in Alton for 10 years. She then went to work at Federal Mogul as an IT Specialist until her retirement in 2000. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter: Kathy Tuetken and a sister: Margaret Meadows. In celebration of her life, visitation will be from 4pm to 8pm on Monday, March 21, 2016, at Pitchford Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10am on Tuesday, March 22, 2016, at the funeral home. Chaplain Randy Butler will officiate. Burial will follow at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto. Memorials are suggested to BJC Hospice and will be accepted at the funeral home.
