Linda Hornberger

Linda Hornberger, 72, passed away at 1:13am on Saturday, February 17, 2024, at her residence. She was born on April 7, 1951, in Granite City, the daughter of the late Anthony and Dorothy (Gregory) Luckshis. She married Paul Hornberger, Sr. on June 14, 1969, in Maryville, and he survives. Other survivors include a son and daughter in law: Eric and Kristen Hornberger of Worden, four grandchildren: Caleb Hornberger, Jake Sherrill USMC, Joe Sherrill, Abby (Jerrod) Stroud, a sister and brother in law: Julie and Gary Sellers of Highland, two brothers and a sister in law: Jim and Marcie Luckshis of Granite City, Tony Luckshis of Glen Carbon, many nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends.


Linda was employed for many years as an accountant at the Edwardsville Township Supervisors Office. She enjoyed collecting precious moments.


In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son: Paul Hornberger, Jr. and a sister: Donna Mesiner.


In celebration of her life, visitation will be from 9:30am to 11:30am on Wednesday, February 21, 2024, at Pitchford Funeral Home in Wood River. Burial will follow at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.


Memorials are suggested to BJC Hospice and will be accepted at the funeral home.
