Holiday Shores:
Linda Kay Wendleton, 54, passed away at 1:34pm on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, at her residence. She was born on July 20, 1972, in St. Louis, the daughter of the late George Vernon and Myrtle Jane (Phillips) Walters. She married Rev, Marc Wendleton in 2022, and he survives. Other survivors include a son: Jacob Kostedt of Holiday Shores, a step daughter: Madison Wendleton, her sisters: Mary Steele, Betty Byers, JoAnne (Johnny) Crum, Kathy Hatcher, Brenda Walters, a brother: George Vernon Walters, Jr., many nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends.
Linda was employed of twenty – two years at the St. Louis School District. She was active at Moro Presbyterian Church and Gateway Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother: Paul Douglas Walters.
Linda gifted her body to Washington University.
In celebration of her life, visitation will be from 1pm until time of memorial services at 2pm on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at Moro Presbyterian Church. Rev. Marc Wendleton and Pastor Rodney Durr will officiate.
Memorials are suggested to Autism Speaks or to Second Chance Ranch in Fenton, Missouri.
