Madeleine Iris Maxeiner

Madeleine Iris Maxeiner, 18, passed away on April 6, 2026. She was born on September 24, 2007, in Alton, the daughter of Robert and Roberta Maxeiner. Survivors include her father and step mom: Robert and Elisha Maxeiner, her mom: Roberta Cissell of Troy, a brother: Jaxon Maxeiner of Godfrey, her grandparents: H.P. and Regina Maxeiner of Bethalto, her grandpa: Bob Gerber, an aunt: Lezlie Maxeiner of Wood River, and many other extended family and friends.

Madeleine was full of love and laughter. She always had a witty comeback. She loved art, particularly Van Gogh. She loved her family fiercely and was very protective of those closest to her. She enjoyed eating El Mezcal with her family. She was compassionate and loving. She was truly beautiful inside and out.
