Glen Carbon: Marilyn Werkmeister - Rix, 82, passed away at 2:33am on Thursday, March 2, 2017, at Barnes – Jewish Hospital. She was born on September 14, 1934, in Denver, Colorado, the daughter of the late Donald and Lola (Bellmore) Jones. Survivors include her husband: Richard Rix whom she married on September 13, 1997, in Denver, Colorado, a daughter and son in law: Cherry and James Feeney of Castle Rock, Colorado, seven sons: David Werkmeister of Fort Collins, Colorado, Danny Werkmeister of Thornton, Colorado, Joseph Werkmeister of Glen Carbon, James Werkmeister of Arvada, Colorado, Timothy Werkmeister of Arvada, Colorado, Kyle Werkmeister of Brighton, Colorado, Samuel Werkmeister of Granite City, several grandchildren, and one brother: Steve Peller of Colorado. Marilyn was formerly employed at Meridian Village for the Lutheran Senior Services. She was active in her ministry at the Grace Boys Ranch in Pacific, Missouri. She was a former Royal Ranger at the Straight Arrow North Heron Christian Center in Thornton, Colorado. She enjoyed reading her bible was a faithful God fearing Godly woman who loved the Lord. She was a member of Faith Christian Fellowship Church in South Roxana, Illinois. In celebration of her life, visitation will be from 2pm to 4pm on Sunday, March 19, 2017, at Faith Christian Fellowship Church in South Roxana. Burial was at Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver, Colorado on Monday, March 13, 2016.
