Mark Yoder, 57, passed away at 2:28am on Wednesday, January 3, 2024, at Alton Memorial Hospital. He was born on August 8, 1966, in Alton, the son of the late Donna (Wright) Yoder and Donald Yoder of Bethalto. In addition to his dad, Mark is survived by a son: Zachary (Lindsi) Yoder of O’Fallon Illinois, Brianna (Tad Mellenthin) Yoder of Moro, Jordyn Yoder of Honolulu, Hawaii, six grandchildren: Bella,Dade, Liam, Dexter, Asher, Emelia, three sisters: Tina (Elrando) Jeter of East Alton, Tanya (Bart) Bettorf of Wentzville Missouri, Tammy (Steve) Yoder-Deaton of Eldridge Iowa, and brother Jim (Leigh Anna) Yoder of Jacksonville Illinois, many nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends.


Mark loved spending time with friends and family and everything sports. His children and grandchildren were everything to him. He played baseball, softball and basketball. His other favorite past times were woodworking and grilling up food and getting everybody he cared about together for a good time. Mark always knew how to light up a room and made a connection with everyone he met. Mark worked in sales, mortgage consultation and construction for most of his life where he managed people and projects that he was passionate about.


In celebration of his life, memorial visitation will be from 4pm to 7pm on Friday, January 19, 2024, at the First Christian Church in Bethalto.
