Mary Rebecca "Becky" Jacobs

Mary Rebecca “Becky” Jacobs, 90, passed away at 5:43am on Saturday, October 15, 2022, at Bria of Wood River. She was born on July 7, 1932, in Jerseyville, the daughter of the late Rev. LL and Beatrice (Ferguson) Hampton. Survivors include a daughter and son in law: Lisa and Brian Phelps of Lakeland, Florida, her grandchildren: Cassie and Tony Ramiundi of Bethalto, Craig Stark of Bethalto, Brandon and Kristin Phelps of California, AJ Phelps of Florida, six great grandchildren: Kiley, Reagan, Harper, Logan, Luke, and Riley, and many other family and friends.

Becky was a member of the Bethalto Church of God for many years and had many beloved friends from the church. She was especially thankful for the love and friendship of Barbara Oats, Mr. Pratt, Debbie Greenwell, Christine Cunningham, and her niece, Beverly McKenna. Becky was a wonderful mother and animal lover. She had a special relationship with God and her church. Becky will be remembered lovingly.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands: Joseph Jones, Leon Harper, William Jacobs, a daughter: Rhonda Forsythe, a son: Jody Jones, her brothers: Charles and Alonzo.

In celebration of her life, a memorial mass will be held at 10:30am on Saturday, October 29, 2022, at Our Lady Queen of Peace in Bethalto. Father Tom Liebler will be the celebrant.
