Melissa Gillison

East Alton: Melissa Gillison, 55, passed away at 2:35pm on Saturday, December 12, 2020, at Alton Memorial Hospital. She was born on March 25, 1965, in Alton, the daughter of Gene Adams of Brighton and the late Sandra (Eaton) Young. Survivors include two daughters: Ashley Wilkerson of East Alton, Heather Gillison and her companion: Seth Gelke of Champaign, Illinois, a bonus daughter: Ariel Hoffstetter and her husband: Ricky of Wood River, five grandchildren: Conner, Hunter, Erin Marie, Richard, Ian, two brothers and sisters in law: Jamie and Toni Adams of Wood River, Brian and Wendy Floyd – Adams of Roxana, her companion: Donald Walls of East Alton, many nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends. A homemaker, Melissa attended the First Christian Church in Wood River. In addition to her mom, she was preceded in death by a sister: Tracy Adams. In accordance with her wishes, cremation rites will be accorded. Memorials are suggested to the American Diabetes Association.
