Michael A. "Mike" Mccoy

Michael “Mike” Alan McCoy, 64, passed away at 1:33pm on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, at his residence surrounded by the love of his family. He was born on December 17, 1960, in Alton, the son of Richard (Joyce McCoy) McCoy of Howard, Ohio, and the late Barbara (Depper) Mitchell, whose memory remained close to his heart throughout his life. Mike married the former Lisa Azzarello on May 28, 1994, in Alton and she survives. In addition to his loving and caring wife, Mike is survived by his two devoted daughters and son-in-law. Kelli McCoy of Alton, Mandi and Rich Stone of Wood River, five grandchildren who brought endless joy to his life: Dylan, Evan, Shayli, Emmerson Stone, and Liam McCoy. One brother: Doug McCoy of Cincinnati, Ohio, his two dogs: Jayci and Lexi, his cat: Zoey, and many other extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly.

Mike was a proud and hardworking man who spent his career in the warehouse industry prior to his retirement. He was an avid sports fan, loved Rock N Roll, and spending time with his family. He never missed a chance to cheer on his favorite teams, especially Ohio State football and the St. Louis Cardinals. Whether it was game day or just a regular afternoon, you could always count on him to be following the score and sharing his thoughts on every play. His loud sense of humor left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.

In accordance with his wishes, cremation rites will be accorded.

A Celebration of Life will be planned at a later date.
