Michael Peterson

East Alton:

Michael Peterson, 43, passed away at 12:25pm on Friday, February 14, 2025, at Alton Memorial Hospital. He was born on October 2, 1981, in Alton, the son of Douglas Peterson and Sandra (Wilmurth) Cunningham of East Alton. In addition to his parents, survivors include three daughters: Mercades Peterson of Wood River, Miyah Peterson of Roxana, two sons: Michael Peterson of Roxana, Mason Rives of Roxana, a grandson: Milo Cobine, a sister: Jennifer Peterson of East Alton, two brothers: Steven Peterson of East Alton, Douglas Peterson of East Alton, and many other extended family and friends.

Michael was employed as a mechanic for many years. He loved spending time with his family. He loved to rap in his free time, and playing on the computer. He loved his kids so much and they were his joy and happiness.

In celebration of his life, memorial visitation will be from 3pm to 5pm on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at Pitchford Funeral Home in Wood River.

Memorials are suggested to the family and will be accepted at the funeral home.
