Nancy Richardson

Rosewood Heights:

Nancy Richardson, 79, formerly of Bethalto, passed away at 6:53pm on Saturday, December 9, 2023, at her residence. She was born on October 27, 1944, in Alton, the daughter of the late Alan and Blanche (Smithling) Johnston. She married Jack Richardson and he preceded her in death on July 11, 2006. Survivors include a daughter and son in law: Crystal and Jesse Lehnen of Rosewood Heights, a son: Jerry Gossen of Alton, her grandchildren: Brittany, Jerry Lee, Aurora, Kyra, two great granddaughters: Azara and Arya, three sisters: Gloria Inman, Cathy (Charles) Davis, Linda (Lynn) Smith, many nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends.

Nancy was employed at the Ceramic Shop for many years and later she cleaned houses and the Elias – Smith Funeral Homes.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by many sisters and brothers.

Visitation will be from 9:30am to 11:30am on Friday, December 15, 2023, at Pitchford Funeral Home in Wood River. Burial will follow at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.

A celebration of Nancy’s life will start at 3pm on Friday, December 15, 2023, at the Runway Lounge, 314 West Bethalto Drive, Bethalto, Illinois, 62010.

Memorials are suggested to the family and will be accepted at the funeral home.
