Nicole E. "Niki" Sutton

Brighton: Nicole E. “Niki” Sutton, 36, passed away at 10:05am on Sunday, February 4, 2018, at her residence. She was born on August 8, 1981, in Alton, the daughter of Steve Sutton of Alton and Anita Michelle (Turner) Sutton of Godfrey. Other survivors include a brother and his fiance’: Jared Michael Sutton and Erin Massey of Alton, her aunts: Sonya Tucker of Alton, Pat Myers of Alton, Karen Welsh and her husband: John of Grafton, Judy Shanahan and her husband: Aaron of Peoria, Bonna Downey of Grafton, her uncle and his wife: Dennis and Karen Sutton of Alton, many cousins, and other extended family and friends. Niki was a 1999 graduate of Alton High School and a 2001 graduate of Western Culinary Institute where she graduated with a Culinary Degree and an Associate Degree in Science. Niki was formerly employed at Cape Albion in Brentwood, Missouri, as an Executive Chef. She was also employed by various places in and around St. Louis as a chef. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents: Floyd and Lucille Turner, her paternal grandparents: Kenneth and Ruby Sutton, and an uncle: Wayne Tucker. In celebration of her life, memorial visitation will be from 4pm to 6pm on Thursday, February 8, 2018, at Pitchford Funeral Home in Wood River. Memorials are suggested to the 5A’s and will be accepted at the funeral home.
