Norman “Norm” Moellering, 77, passed away peacefully at 2:49 a.m. on Thursday, July 2, 2026, at Memorial Hospital in Springfield, Illinois. He was born on January 13, 1949, in St. Charles, Missouri, the son of the late Raymond and Margaret (Rothermich) Moellering. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Jason and Missy Moellering of Bethalto; his beloved grandchildren, Jacey Moellering and Jack Moellering; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members that he loved dearly.
Norm was employed as a supervisor in the meatpacking department at Cargill in Beardstown. He was a proud member of the Mizzou Alumni Association.
Norm was a hardworking man who found joy in life’s simple pleasures-gardening, cheering on the St. Louis Cardinals, and, above all, spending time with his family. His greatest happiness came from attending Jacey and Jack’s games, where he was their biggest fan. He treasured every opportunity to watch them play and was always there to cheer them on.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Kenneth and Alan.
In accordance with his wishes, cremation rites will be accorded. No services will be held.
