Pat Fitzgerald

Wood River: Pat Fitzgerald, 59, passed away at 9:50pm on Tuesday, July 15, 2014, in Alton. He was born on August 5, 1954, in Springfield, Illinois the son of the late James and Katherine (Zupan) Fitzgerald. On October 4, 2008, in Wood River, Illinois he married his lifelong partner of 28 years Letha Fennewald and she survives. Other survivors include two sisters and a brother in law: Mary K. Fitzgerald of Bethalto, Annette and Keith Bartels of Bethalto, a special cousin and her husband: Kathy and Randy Marmino of Bethalto, three sisters in law and their spouses, six brothers in law and their spouses, several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. He was employed as a union bricklayer through the Local #8 for 35 years. He loved riding his Harley and faithfully went to Sturgis every year. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his father in law: Lawrence Fennewald. In celebration of his life, memorial visitation will be from 4pm to 7pm on Friday, July 18, 2014, at Pitchford Funeral Home in Wood River. Memorials are suggested to E.O.D. Wounded Warriors and will be accepted at the funeral.
