Wood River: Patricia K. “PattytheK” Bott, 45, passed away at 5:44am on Tuesday, June 16, 2020, at her residence. She was born on December 22, 1974, in Maryville, the daughter of the late Harold and Judith “Judy” (Whorl) Gill. She married Devon Bott on March 30, 2012, in Edwardsville, and he survives. Other survivors include a son: Lennon McHugh of Colorado, a daughter: Violet Bott of Wood River, her sisters and brothers in law: Tracy and Clark Stoeckel of Brighton, Tammy and Jeffrey Burcham of East Alton, Robin and Robert Berry of Alton, a brother and sister in law: Mark and Meshawn Gill of Jennings, Missouri, her three cats, many nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends. Patty was a Billing Specialist at American Water. Prior to there, Patty worked as a daycare teacher who loved working with children. If you knew Patty, she had a great sense of humor and had a love for movies and music. Her favorite bands were The Beatles and The Monkees. For those close to her, she always had your back and would make the room light up with her highly infectious personality. Besides her family who loved Patty, she had so many close friends that stretched across the United States who loved her and will miss her terribly. Cremation rites have been accorded. In celebration of her life, a memorial visitation at Pitchford Funeral Home in Wood River will be held when the current Covid – 19 restrictions are lifted. Inurnment will be at Upper Alton Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the family to assist with her daughter Violet Bott.
