Paul G. Coleman

Paul G. Coleman, 84, passed away at 5:59am on Sunday, October 18, 2026, at Nexus of Wood River. He was born on July 13, 1942, in Alton, the son of the late Leroy and Hannah (Blacketer) Coleman. He married the former Diane Arnold and she preceded him in death in 1990. Survivors include two daughters and sons in law: Tina Sue and Rick Rose of Hartford, Evelyn Sue and James Glover of Brighton, three sons: Paul G. (Barbara Smith) Coleman, Jr. of Delhi, Billy David (Dawn) Coleman of South Roxana, Warren Dean Coleman of Medora, his step children: Starla Carter, Mary (Paul) Barrett, Rose (Mark) Lepes, Mike Cato, eleven grandchildren, several great grandchildren, one great - great grandchild, a sister: Dorothy, many nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends.

Paul worked as a line worker at Hussmann Corporation for over fifteen years. He loved spending time with his family, walking his dog Buddy, riding motorcycles in his earlier years, and sitting on his front porch in his rocking chair.

In addition to his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by two step - daughters: Nancy Davis, Gloria Sparks, and several brothers and sisters.

In celebration of his life, visitation will be from 2pm to 4pm on Sunday, October 25, 2026, at Pitchford Funeral Home in Wood River. Graveside services will be held at 11:30am on Monday, October 26, 2026, at Bethalto United Methodist Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to the 5A’s and will be accepted at the funeral home.
