Peggy Jean Tinnin

Florissant:

Peggy Jean Tinnin, 65, passed away at 8:29 AM on Wednesday, September 20, 2023, at Barnes Jewish Hospital with loved ones at her side. Born on December 18, 1957, in Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Lamoine and Verna (Long) Tinnin.

Peggy is survived by her beloved partner of 25 years, Daniel Wayman, her step-mother, Connie Tinnin, her daughter and son in law: Tara and David Caul, a son and daughter in law: David and Mizuki Tinnin, step daughter: Kristin Wayman, step son: Adam Wayman, her grandchildren: Breanne and Chisaki, two brothers and sisters in law: Terry and Peggy Tinnin, and Brad and Tara Tinnin, a sister in law Mary Beth Wayman, and her nieces and nephews Nancy, Laura, Stella, Sylvia, Amelia, Ryley, Grayson, Camryn, Lainey, Charlotte, John, Binx, and Forrest.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her nephew: Terry Tinnin Jr.

Peggy excelled as an executive assistant for Commerce Bank for many years, where she was known affectionately as PJ. She cherished her children and their partners. She adored her brothers and treated their wives like her own sisters. She was an attentive, doting, and loving grandmother and a proud and beloved aunt. Nothing made her happier or prouder than spoiling her “babies.” She had countless friends who were special to her, in particular her Lunch Ladies, and treasured her extended family of aunts, uncles, and cousins. She showed her love as much by her actions as with her words and affection. To be in Peggy’s life meant always feeling well-loved, valued, and supported. She loved life and all of its adventures and was a bright light for those who were lucky enough to come into her path. Her presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Cremation rights have been accorded.
