Pete Tucker, Jr.

Hartford: Pete Tucker, Jr., 94, passed away at 10:46am on Sunday, December 6, 2020, at his residence. He was born on January 29, 1926, in Murray, Kentucky, the son of Pete and Ophena C. (Hargis) Tucker, Sr. Survivors include his daughters: Marsha Feldman and her husband: Nathan of Omaha, Nebraska, Cindy Leach & Rick Gowens of Hartford, a granddaughter: Natalie Leach of Hartford, a grandson and his wife: Justin (Juddy) & Ana Leach of East Alton, his great grandchildren: Alexandra, Samantha & Anabel Leach of East Alton. Pete was a veteran of the United States Navy where he served from 1944 to 1946. Following the service Pete was employed at Shell Oil prior to his retirement in 1985. He loved the St. Louis Cardinals Baseball, Fishing, Hunting, his Garden, Beer & BBQ. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of fifty years: Freida Tucker, his father: Red Tolbert, and a brother: Thomas Tucker. In celebration of his life, private services will be held. Burial will be at Valhalla Memorial Park in Godfrey. The family would like to give special thanks to care givers: Jeannie Wade, Clair Stewart, Jenny Grider, and Nurse Nikki. Memorials are suggested to the Wounded Warriors Project.
