Raymond M. Brooks

Bunker Hill: Raymond M. Brooks, 70, passed away at 5:23am on Sunday, August 19, 2018, at Alton Memorial Hospital. He was born on July 15, 1948, in Wood River, the son of the late William and Myrtle (Lanier) Brooks. Survivors include three sons and two daughters in law: Charles and Cindy Brooks of Kansas City, Missouri, Danny and Candace Brooks of Bethalto, Rodney Brooks of Bethalto, eight grandchildren, five great grandchildren, one sister and brother in law: Betty and Harold Dristell of Cottage Hills, many nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends. A boilermaker by trade, Raymond traveled to many refineries to use his skills. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister: Deanie, and three brothers: Donald, Bill, and John. In celebration of his life, graveside services will be held at 12:30pm on Friday, August 24, 2018, at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery with full military honors. Memorials are suggested to the family.
