Rebecca "Becky" Dykes

Rebecca “Becky” Dykes, 71, passed away at 12:20am on Monday, May 27, 2024, at OSF St. Anthony’s Hospital in Alton. She was born on March 29, 1953, the daughter of the late Robert and Irma (Reid) Haug. She married Wayne Dykes on June 30, 1994, in Collinsville, and he survives. Other survivors include two daughters and a son in law: Chawna Johnson of Normal, Illinois, Melissa and Shane Cole of Edwardsville, four grandchildren: Justina, Katelyn, Makaylah, Zachary, a great granddaughter: Rayna, two brothers: Ronald Stevens of Edwardsville, Dennis Haug of Alton, many nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends.

Becky was formerly employed as a medical assistant at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Highland. She enjoyed her Harley Davidson, singing, playing the piano, cats, and spending time with her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister: Sharon Lancenese.

In accordance with her wishes, cremation rites were accorded. Private inurnment will be at Sunset Hills Memorial Estates in Glen Carbon.

In lieu of flowers and cards, memorials would be appreciated to help with funeral expenses.
