Rena was formerly employed at Peabody Coal, the Public School Retirement System of the City of St. Louis, and retired as a coordinator at the Scottish Rite Valley of St. Louis at the age of seventy-five. She enjoyed playing slot machines with her friends and looked forward to a mean game of pinochle. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandkids. Her love for babies was endless. She had an infectious smile that would light up any room and was always eager to dress to the nines.
Rena’s lifetime goal was to reach one hundred years of age, but in her loved ones’ hearts her memory will live forever.
In celebration of her life, Rena’s visitation will be Sunday, July 21st from 4-7pm followed by a memorial service starting at 7 pm at Pitchford Funeral Home. Chaplain Jason Pierce will officiate. A graveside service will be held July 22nd at 1130am, at Thomason Cemetery in Wayne City, Illinois.
