Richard Eggebrecht

Rosewood Heights: Richard Eggebrecht, 67, passed away on September 3, 2018, at his residence surrounded by his family. He was born to Richard and Audrey Eggebrecht. Rick graduated from Roxana High School in 1969, and retired from the Navy after twenty – two years of service. In 2016, he retired from Boeing, where he worked as a metrologist, a job that he loved. Rick enjoyed spending time with his family, for whom he cared for deeply. Rick is survived by many people who loved him dearly. In celebration of his life, memorial visitation will be from 4pm until time of memorial services at 7:30pm on Thursday, September 6, 2018, at Pitchford Funeral Home in Wood River. Military rites will be accorded at 4pm on Thursday at the funeral home by the Ritual Team of VFW Post 1308 of Alton. Memorials are suggested to Heartland Hospice and will be accepted at the funeral home. The family would like to thank the team of Heartland Hospice for all of their support throughout his journey.
