Ricky J. “Dog” Blaine, 68, passed away at 10:58am on Thursday, October 17, 2024, at his residence. He was born on August 10, 1956, in Alton, the son of the late James M. and Doris E. (Day – Forsyth) Blaine. Survivors include his children: Amy Kirchner and her husband: John of Estero, Florida, Shannon Unverzagt and her fiancé: Paul Lara of St. Louis, Angela Kirby and her fiancé: Justin Brunaugh of Brighton, Ricky Scoggins and his wife: Danielle Toya of San Antonio, Texas, Marty Martin and his wife: Sawyer of Pittsfield, Illinois, his grandchildren: Faith Kirchner, Joshua Kirchner, Noah Kirchner, Anthony Kirchner, Jesse Dunlap, Joey Dunlap, David Dunlap, Duane Dunlap, Jordan Dunlap - Mullaney, Jacob Dunlap, Jacob Little, Anna Nasello, Izzabella Kirby, Kennadi Martin, Parker Martin, a sister: Patricia Ann Grabner, two brothers and sisters in law: James and Jane Blaine, Ronald and Vikki Blaine, many nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends.


Ricky was formerly employed in the construction trade and agriculture. Ricky lived life to the fullest and was loved by many. He was described by his friends as a good man that would do anything for anyone. He loved tinkering with cars and farming and gardening in his spare time. He had a great sense of humor and loved his family.


In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters: Janice Faye Blaine, Wanna Lee Elrod, a brother: Michael Allen Blaine, a brother in law: Kenny Grabner, and his longtime companion: Vicky Martin.


In accordance with his wishes, cremation rites will be accorded.
