Robert "Bob" Davidson

Edwardsville: Robert “Bob” Davidson, 61, passed away on Friday, March 13, 2020, at Anderson Hospital in Maryville. He was the beloved husband of Mary “Lynn” Davidson. They were married thirty – nine years and in love since 1976. He was predeceased by his parents Grover and Stella (Norton) Davidson, his step son: Billy, and father in law: Robert Barry, Jr. He is survived by his brother Randy (Cathy) Davidson, his mothers in law: Carole Fitzgerald and Suzann Barry as well as brothers and sisters in law: Tom and Sue Fitzgerald, Jerry and Debbie Fitzgerald, a sister in law and brother in law: Kelly and Mike Bayles, and was a proud uncle to many nieces, nephews, two great nephews, and many other extended family and friends. Bob was a union floor layer most of his working career. He belonged to the Cottage Hills VFW Post #7678 for several years. He loved to fish, play pool with his buddies, and enjoyed listening to country and bluegrass music, his dogs, and horses. He knew the Lord and is now in his care. He will be dearly missed by many. Due to the coronavirus, a memorial gathering will be held at a later date. Date and times will be announced later. Private inurnment will be at Resurrection Cemetery in St. Louis. Memorials are suggested to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
