A man of God, Rodger was a wonderful husband, a loving caring and giving father and grandfather. He was known as “Papa Rodger” to his grandkids. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. A quiet man with a wonderful sense of humor. He enjoyed the simpler things in life. He loved his Diet Coke and did not believe drinking water was necessary. He enjoyed watching old John Wayne moves and Spencer lawn care videos on you tube. He could often be found snacking on his favorite candy Whoppers , ding dong snack cakes or chocolate covered cherries. You could also almost guarantee KSHE real rock radio was playing on the radio. He was a jack of all trades, he could fix anything. He was especially gifted at welding and woodworking. His sense of humor, and his goofy smiles will be greatly missed.
