Ronald C. Cole, 64, passed away at 4:30pm on Wednesday, September 20, 2023, at Saint Louis University Hospital. He was born on September 19, 1959, in Madisonville, Tennessee, the son of the late Amos and Sue (Sutton) Cole. He married the former Sandra “Sandy” Null on July 4, 1987, in East Alton, and she survives. Other survivors include a son: Bradley Cole of Bethalto, a sister: Norma Cole of Madisonville, Tennessee, his mother in law: Marie Null of Bethalto, his sisters in law and brother in law: Pam and Darrell Becker of Meadowbrook, Donna Hammons of Bethalto, a brother in law and sister in law: Bryan and Jeannie Null of Meadowbrook, many nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends.


Ron was employed in the traffic control department at DB Schenker. He was always known as a hard worker throughout his life. Ron was a simple man, but a travelling one. He left Tennessee and pursued his dream of being an over the road truck driver and travelled all across North America. He was a man with a big heart and would help anyone he could in anyway he could. He loved his family dearly and all who knew him enjoyed his company.


In celebration of his life, memorial visitation will be from 2pm to 4pm on Saturday, September 30, 2023, at Pitchford Funeral Home in Wood River.


In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the St. Vincent DePaul Society and will be accepted at the funeral home.
