Rose Ann Hayes

Rose Ann Hayes, 68, passed away at 11:25pm on Tuesday, February 19, 2013, at Alton Memorial Hospital. She was born on February 20, 1944, in Cape Girardeau, Missouri the daughter of the late Gene F. and Emma Rosetta (McClure) Duncan. She married James E. Hayes in 1972. Survivors include one son: Jimmie Wilhelm of Rosewood Heights, one daughter: Jamie Ann Hayes of South Roxana, three grandchildren: Vance Wilhelm and his wife: Kristen, Jessie Duncan, Jorden Meador, a nephew Steve Duncan Jr., and her cousin: Kenny Beasley and his wife: Debbie of South Roxana. Rose Ann was a loving mother and grandmother. Her grandchildren, Vance Wilhelm, Jessie Duncan, Jorden Meador was everything to her! She loved being a grandmother and would often show this by cooking some of their favorite desserts for them! Rose Ann also owned what is now The Second Last Chance Tavern in South Roxana, Illinois. She loved being a barmaid /owner. She loved serving her customers and enjoyed their company. She was an avid lover of all animals but Beagles were her favorite. She was a breast cancer survivor. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother: Steve, and a sister: Janice. In accordance with her wishes, cremation rites will be accorded.
