Roy Holmes

East Alton:

Roy R. Holmes, 65, passed away at 7:32pm on Thursday, April 24, 2025, at his residence. He was born on May 19, 1959, in Dallas, Georgia, the son of the late Walter and Elizabeth (Baxter) Holmes. Survivors include his sisters: Dottie Tidwell, Cindy Blair, Rose Medina, his brothers and sister in law: John and Cynthia Holmes, Raymond Holmes, many nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends.

Roy was formerly employed at Kopp Heating and Cooling as a service technician.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister: Dale Pruitt, and a brother: Walter “Butch” Holmes.

In accordance with his wishes, cremation rites will be accorded.  Private inurnment will be at Wanda Cemetery in South Roxana.
