Alton: Sandra Kay Williams, 69, passed away at 10:06am on Tuesday, August 14, 2018, at her residence. She was born on November 30, 1948, in Carrolton, Illinois, the daughter of the late Charles and Jessie (Ballard) Menzie. Survivors include two daughters: Cynthia Smith and her husband: Charles of Oxford, Mississippi, Rebecca Williams and her fiance’: Fredrick McGee of Alton, two sons: Thomas Clyde Williams, Jr. of Alton, Rodney Williams and his fiance’: Sonja Perez of South Roxana, Illinois, twelve grandchildren: Charles “PeeWee”, Shyleigha, Rodney Jr., Levy, Mylo, Brandon, Candace, Ashley, Tommy III, Marquela, Mark Jr., Loretta, seven great – grandchildren, a sister and brother in law: Debbie and Bobby Joe Dean of Jerseyville, a brother and sister in law: Charles and Shirley Menzie of Jerseyville, and many other extended family and friends. Sandra was formerly employed at Alton Memorial Hospital as a supervisor in the housekeeping department. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her companion: John Sims, a grandson: Fred McGee, two brothers, and two sisters. In celebration of her life, visitation will be from 10am until time of funeral services at 12pm on Friday, August 17, 2018, at Pitchford Funeral Home in Wood River. Burial will follow at Upper Alton Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the family.
