Starla Jean Bell

South Roxana:

Starla Jean Bell, 42, passed away at 3:07pm on Thursday, January 30, 2025, at Alton Memorial Hospital, with her family by her side. Starla was born on April 12, 1982, in Duncan, Oklahoma, the daughter of Loca (Sunderland) Catt of Alton and Franklin Hamilton of East Alton. She married Daniel E. Bell on July 4, 2017, in Alton, and he preceded her in death on January 25, 2018. In addition to her parents, Starla is survived by her grandmother: Bonnie Kearby of Bethalto, her step mother: Melissa Millsap of East Alton, three sons, Dominick Rodriguez, Keven Rodriguez, and Bryan Rodriguez all of South Roxana, a grandson, Oscar Pruitt, two sisters and a brother in law: Amy Sunderland of South Roxana, LeAnn Hamilton (Oscar) Aroca of South Roxana, a brother and sister in law: Scott (Sheli) Payne of Godfrey, two step brothers, Cory Millsap of Godfrey, Geoffrey (Kaitlyn) Millsap of Brighton, eleven nieces and nephews, and many other extended family and friends.

Prior to becoming disabled, Starla was employed in the ecommerce warehouses.

She was preceded in death by her step father: Ted Catt, and her grandmother: Loretta Sunderland.

In celebration of her life, memorial visitation will be from 5pm until time of memorial services at 7pm on Thursday, February 6, 2025, at Pitchford Funeral Home in Wood River. Private inurnment will be at Wanda Cemetery in South Roxana.
