Stephanie Kay Brown, 56, passed away at 4:04pm on Thursday, July 23, 2026, at her residence. She was born on September 5, 1969, in East St. Louis, Illinois, the daughter of Kay (Holifield) Phillips and the late William “Bill” Phillips. She married Adam Brown on December 23, 2013, in Edwardsville, and he survives. Other survivors include two daughters Amanda Jines of Alton, and Angelita Rose and her husband Austin Rose of Cottage Hills, a son: James Jines of O’Fallon, Illinois, two grandchildren: Maylynn Millie and Aubree June, two sisters: Sherri Deak, Deborah Lawrence a step brother: Bill Phillips Jr., and many other extended family and friends.
Stephanie owned and operated Housekeeping Unlimited for twenty five years. She was a member of Metro Community Church.
In addition to her dad, she was preceded in death by a sister: June Dee Gregory.
A celebration of Stephanie’s life will be held on Sunday, August 9, 2026, from 1pm to 5pm at Gordon F. Moore Park. 20 Parker Rd, Alton, IL 62002.
