Bunker Hill: Stephen Ray Chestnut, 59, met Jesus at 4am on Friday, July 28, 2017, at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born on February 17, 1958, in Carlinville, Illinois, the son of Sarah Margaret (Hodge) Chestnut of Bunker Hill and the late Elmer George Chestnut. A devoted husband, father, and grandpa, Steve is survived by his wife Diana (Eldridge) Chestnut who he married on February 17, 1980, in Bunker Hill, two daughters and sons in law: Pasha and Mike Koprivica of East Alton, Misty and Manuel Perez of Bunker Hill, a son: Zachary Chestnut of Bunker Hill, three grandchildren: Nora Koprivica, Reagan Perez, Manny Perez, a sister: Sarah Roose of Alton, two brothers and a sister in law: Elmer Chestnut of Bunker Hill, Don and Vicki Chestnut of Bunker Hill, many nieces, many nephews, his step – mother: Mable Chestnut, his step – sisters and their husbands: Mary Lou and Ron Lovell, Patsy and Jim Stephens, and a step – brother and his wife: Bobby and Donna VanDeusen. Memorial visitation will be from 3:30pm until time of celebration of life services at 5:30pm on Saturday, August 5, 2017, at Skyline Church, 820 South Prairie, in Bethalto. Pastor Phil Warren will officiate. Memorials are suggested to the family.
