Sylvia Davis

Alton: Sylvia Davis, 79, passed away at 2:43am on Wednesday, December 24, 2014, at Bethalto Care Center. She was born on October 16, 1935, in Alton the daughter of the late Hardin and Emma (Osborne) Embry. She married Walter Davis in 1972 in Tuscon, Arizona and he preceded her in death. Survivors include three daughters and sons in law: Robbin and Darrell Stout of Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri, Ada and Clifford Keesler of Wood River, Illinois, Cindi and Danny Sinclair of Barnett, Missouri, eighteen grandchildren, several great grandchildren, and one sister and brother in law: Barbara and Rev. Albert Reams of Washington. She was formerly employed at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Alton as an aide in the central supply department. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one son: Darrell, two brothers, and one sister. In accordance with her wishes, cremation rites will be accorded. Private inurnment will be at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis. Memorials are suggested to the charity of the donor’s choice.
