Terri Sue Delp

Terri Sue Delp, 70, passed away at 10:34pm on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, at her residence. She was born on July 6, 1956, in Alton, the daughter of the late Richard and Mary (Miller) Thomas. She married David L. Delp on October 22, 1976, in Bethalto. Survivors include a daughter: Christy Delp of Wood River, a son: Jake Delp of Wood River, eight grandchildren: Nick Delp, Chloe Gleason, Haylee (Cameren) Delp, Hannah Delp, Austin Delp, Miley Delp, Kayley Delp, Preston Delp, a great granddaughter: Paisley Creekpaum, a sister and brother in law: Traci and Mark Frields of Wood River, a brother and sister in law: Tim and Paula Thomas of Jerseyville, many nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends.

To know Terri is to know she loved her family. Terri was surrounded by the people she loved most. She had a profound love for her family. She was always greeted with the biggest smiles from everyone, especially her great-granddaughter, who called her “maw maw duck”

Terri was formerly employed as a dry-cleaning specialist at Comet Cleaners in Wood River. She loved crafting, the St. Louis Cardinals, the St. Louis Blues, and was of the Lutheran faith.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson: Alex Delp and a brother: Rick Thomas.

In accordance with her wishes, cremation rites will be accorded. Private celebration of life services will be held.
