Thera Elizabeth Webster, 53, of Saint Louis, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, April 5, at 12:01 P.M. at her residence.


Thera was born in Alton, Illinois on November 11, 1970, the daughter of Ken Webster and the late Angela (Lane) Webster.


In addition to her father, Thera is survived by a sister, Erin Clifford and brother-in-law, John Clifford, brother Benjamin Webster, and sister Bethany Mabb. In addition to her father and siblings, she is survived by two aunts, Teddi Slayden and Jennifer Brueggeman, an uncle, Tom Chamberlain, as well as nephews Johnny Clifford, Noah Mabb and niece, Aliza Mabb. Thera also had many cousins, friends, and relatives that she loved and who loved her.


Thera was a graduate of SIUE, and for over two decades, was a dedicated case worker who helped people in need at the Missouri Department of Social Services. Besides her passion for helping others as a case worker, Thera was an outspoken advocate for progressive causes and had a powerful sense of social justice. She was also artistic and musically gifted and enjoyed making unique gifts, especially art, for her loved ones. She had a unique and intelligent mind with a wide knowledge base from which to draw on and could quote an interesting piece of trivia for just about any circumstance.


Thera was also a passionate advocate for children, especially children with disabilities, and was strongly active with her nephews and niece, whom she greatly loved.


There will be a celebration of life, including lunch and service, for her on Saturday, April 13, 2024, at 12:00 noon at “The Farm,” 14619 School House Rd, Bunker Hill, IL.
