Thomas "Tommy" Garrett, Jr.

Alton: Thomas “Tommy” Garrett, Jr., 56, passed away at 10:45am on Friday, January 11, 2019, at his residence. He was born on October 15, 1962, in Alton, the son of Thomas E. and Toni (Bock) Garrett, Sr. He is survived by his mom: Toni Poore and her husband: Dave of Godfrey, his step mother: Donna Garrett of Godfrey. He married Sharon Kospie on July 2, 2016, in Alton, and she survives. Other survivors include his daughters: Ashley Pena and her husband: Christopher of Oklahoma, Angela Garrett of Alton, Mariah Fearn and her companion: Rodney Akers of Alton, Anthony Spatafora and his companion: Jamie McEvers of Alton, Michael Spatafora of Alton, his grandchildren: Lane Spatafora, Gabrielle Spatafora, Isaiah Pena, Emilia Pena, his sisters: Taffy Ditzenberger and her husband: Duane of Whitestown, Indiana, Tiffany Lane of Alton, Dawn and Billy McCane of Alton, Shelly McLaughlin and her husband: Mike of McFarland, Wisconsin, his brothers: Spencer Garrett and his wife: Julie of Medora, Francis Garrett and his wife: Chris of Worden, Jack Garrett of Alton, Donald Garrett and his wife: Shelly of Brighton, Danny Coon and his wife: Tami of Brighton, a sister in law: Tim Garrett of Alton, many nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends. Tommy was a self - employed carpenter. He enjoyed playing with his kids, grandkids, playing golf, and he has a passion for work. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by two brothers: Ray and Steven. In accordance with his wishes, cremation rites will be accorded. In celebration of his life, memorial visitation will be from 5pm to 7pm on Wednesday, January 16, 2019, at Pitchford Funeral Home in Wood River. Memorials are suggested to the family.
