Yvonne Jacobson

Bethalto: Yvonne Jacobson, 81, passed away at 5:30am on Saturday, March 4, 2017, at Edwardsville Nursing and Rehab. She was born on January 11, 1936, in McLeansboro, Illinois, the daughter of the late Clyde and Helen (Sizemore) Jeffries. She married Frank Jacobson, Sr. on June 30, 1956, in Crown Point, Indiana, and he survives. Other survivors include two daughters and sons in law: Debbie and Doug Meehan of Conifer, Colorado, Theresa and Glenn McArthur of Bethalto, a step son and his wife: Frank and Linnea Jacobson, Jr. of Charlotte, North Carolina, two sons and a daughter in law: Leland Jacobson of Palestine, Texas, Clyde and Crystal Jacobson of Palestine, Texas, fifteen grandchildren, thirty – two great grandchildren, three sisters and a brother in law: Jeanne Phillips of New Orleans, Louisiana, Linda and Barry Peck of Chillicothe, Illinois, Nancy Jeffries of Chicago, and many nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends. Yvonne was formerly employed at H & R Block as a receptionist for over 10 years. She was a member of Berean Baptist Church in Bunker Hill. She loved to work puzzles. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters: Gladys and Judi, and two brothers: Evan and Herbert. In accordance with her wishes, cremation rites will be accorded. In celebration of her life, memorial services will be held at 11am on Saturday, March 11, 2017, at Berean Baptist Church in Bunker Hill. Pastor Jeff Warix will officiate. Memorials are suggested to Berean Baptist Church in Bunker Hill.
